Long An province’s consumer price index (CPI) in April is estimated to have fallen by 0.33% on-month and 1.42% on year, the GSO said.

 

Long An consumer price index (CPI) is estimated to have fallen by 0.33% on-month in April, dragged by declines in prices of food and restaurant services, the provincal Statistics Office said.
 
Prices of food and restaurant services which accounted for biggest weigh among CPI components fell 0.84% on month including 0.99% rise in food prices and 1.58% drop in foodstuff prices.
 
Prices housing, utilities, fuel and construction materials fell 1.33% on month thanks to downward adjustment of cooking gas prices.
 
Prices of other goods and services fell 0.14%
 
On the upside, the biggest price hikes in the month were seen in transportation, rising 1.13%; household devices rose 0.52%; clothes and wearing rose 0.21%; culture, recreation and tourism rose 0.13%; drink and cigarettes rose 0.02%; post and telecommunication rose 0.02%.
 
Prices of medicine and healthcare services stood still in the month.
 
In April, gold prices fell by 1.74% on-month while those of US dollars edged up by 0.05% on-month.
